Bristol 408 Mk 1, 1963.  Reg No WEL463.  This was the first car built after the prototype of a run of less than 50 produced.   Finished in its original colour scheme of metallic silver with black roof complimented by its original superb red leather upholstery.  Powered by its original Chrysler V8 5100 cc engine.  Push-button controlled TorqueFlite automatic transmission.

This car has been maintained to the highest order throughout its life.  The amount of information within the history file is far too extensive to itemise here, however a worthwhile point to make is that in 2001, both cylinder heads were replaced and converted to run on unleaded fuel.  This car was the  actual Earls Court show car. Awarded SMMT Bodywork Prize at the show. Pictured as example of 408 on pages 80/81 of Bristol Owners Club chassis list.  Included in the history file is a hand written letter from Anthony Crook who ran  Bristol Cars, confirming that this vehicle was the show car at Earl's Court Motor Show in 1963 and that this car was his personal demonstrator. (Carole Crook, his daughter, seen beside vehicle in show photo).

Supplied with an extensive history file including the photo of this car at the Earl's Court Motor Show.  This incredibly preserved rare, hand built, aluminium bodied car has only had 4 owners from new. It is in exceptional condition in every aspect and drives superbly.
